Sir:
I informed Capt. Oneil last Monday, of my intention to commence school, and he promised that he would write to you immediately, which I presume he did. I have between sixty and seventy scholars, besides there are many more applicants, but the room is so small that I cannot find a place to put any more, in fact, I have been so crowded that I have been unable to call a merit roll, being obliged to let the first classes depart as soon their lessons were said, to give room for others. We have had the promise of benches, but
