Armistead, S.W.

states under oath that in Nov. last his property known as the Mill tracts & Mill stand in Elizabeth City County was restored to him by an order from Col. Brown - that difficulty had arisen with Capt Wilder in regard to the improvements (which arbitrators valued at $125.) he had put to the Mills, for which Capt. W. insisted upon $250, & that three colored families be allowed to remain on the premises, until he could provide for them - requests that his property be fully restored.
