In reply to your communication of the 21st of April, 1866, I have the honor to inform you that James Jackson, of Co "A," 117 Regiment U S C Infantry Volunteers, appears, from [[strikethrough]] the latest [[/strikethrough]] information received at this office, (dated August 31st 1865,) to be as follows: "Discharged at Fort Monroe Co June 26th 1865."
