Chambers Genl. Court Martial Boston Mass April 26th, 1866 General, I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of official copy of Report signed by Lieut. Col. G. Mallery Inspector in Charge of Bureau R.F. & A.L. dated Richmond Va. April 21st, 1866. Reporting my failure to comply with S.O. No. 40. of March 22nd 1866. Bureau R.F. & A.L. Washington D.C. accompanied by instructions to report why I have not complied with the above cited order - In compliance with these instructions I have the honor to report that I am not yet relieved from duty as a member of a General Court Martial convened in this city, by virtue of S.O.
