Dear Patricia:

Larry Keenan Jr. who had the two page spread on Neal Cassdy, pages 48-49- in the August 10th issue, which had my North Beach Article, expressed to me bewilderment and dissatisfaction with the fees he received, which was $150, instead of the 150 dollars a page, I informed him beforehand he would get.

Back then when Warren Hincle and Mike Salisbury expressed interest in other photos besides my own of that period, I asked what they would pay so I could tell the others. Warren asked Mike and Mike replied, "150 dollars a page," and Warren asked if that [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] was all right with me,nad, I said, yes," and so told the others involved.

When Larry tried to get an explanation of the fee he received he was never able to get ahold of Salisbury, only people below him, who said the rate was arbitrary, and the check he got was correct.

I do not know whether he intends to submit another invoice, for the difference or not, but I do know I got $150 a page for my photos, and that is what the others should have gotten also. I know there is sometimes confusion between the financial and editorial end,but what's fair is fair, and I hope the Keenan matter can be straightened out.

Prevail,
Mark Green
