I Benjamin Harris do solemnly swear, that in the month of March 1866, I was working for Dr Jacob P. Harrison of Henrico County, - that I never slept in Dr Harrisons place but went to my home about one mile distant every night - that Sunday morning (Mch 11/66) when I went to attend to my morning work at Dr Harrison's the servants on the place told me that poultry had been stolen the night previous by unknown parties; - did not know untill the servants told me that any fouls were missing; I left the place the night before, about dark and did not return untill the following morning about an hour after sun-rise: - was at my home all night sick with the chills. Benjamin Harris his x mark Sworn and subscribed to before me this 23rd day of Sept 1866 at Richmond Va. John A Mc Donnell Capt and Supt. 3rd Dist of Va.
