Martha Turner (Col'd) vs. Elijah Turner (Col'd)
Action for assault with a deadly weapon

It appearing that the defendent struck the plaintiff twice with the eye of an axe.  The court unanimously decided that the defendent be confined at hard labor for the period of thirty days and be bound over to keep the for three months.

James Roberts (Col'd) vs. Felix Bennett (white)
Action for Threatening to use violence

It appearing that severe language was used by both parties.  The Court unanimously decided that both Plaintiff and defendent keep their fences in proper condition and bound them both over to keep the peace in the sum of three hundred dollars for six months.
