Your favor of 16th inst, with enclosed application & proof of cohabitation in the case of Nancy Ricks for pay &c due her deceased husband Joshua Ricks, seaman on Board the U.S.S. Genessee- and other papers for Maj. Fowler was duly received- The enclosures are returned to you by to-day's mail. 

The papers of Nancy Ricks require the certificate of the Not. Pub. "and I hereby certify that the foregoing application and affidavit were carefully read over &c &c"
