Reports for instructions case of H.E. Coleman. late Col. in Conf. Army, making oath that in Apl 1865, he sent his horses to be hid from Union Troops, under the charge of Nelson Coleman and other colored servants= the day following 3 horses & 3 of the servants were missing; Nelson upon his return was committed to jail for larceny of one horse. He claims that U.S. soldiers seized them -
