Capt & Asst: Supt. R.F & A.L.
Norfolk.

Dear Sir

Some months since my brother. Robert M. Bain, residing at Thomasville Georgia, made application, to the office under Coln. Brown at Richmond Va, for the restoration of his house and lot near Swimming Point, in Norfolk County, now in possession of a Mr. McKever. Learning from you, that it is necessary, for the application, to pass through your office, before it can be acted on, and restored; and being the party most interested in the property, as it owes me its value; I respectfully ask that you be so kind, as, to communicate with the office in Richmond, and get the application, and papers filed with it, forwarded, to your office for action.

Respectfully
George M. Bain
