Sworn: Testifies as follows. I reside in Norfolk, in charge of Freedmens Saving Bank and colored schools of American Missionary Association, brought in contact with schools daily, Recollect fire at Concert Hall, was at the fire about 5 1/2 O'Clock, A boy called at my house and said the building was on fire, was not much fire when I arrived, Stayed about two hours. Saw two fire companies present and, one Hook & Ladder Company. Saw a man with the Chief Engineer hat on, do not know that it was Mr. Folger. Left fire at 7 1/2 O'clock. Saw firemen throwing stoves and pipe out of the windows Heard a fireman say that he was afraid of the sash burning and put a stone through the window and also a fireman broke up benches by form saying that they would be burned this was after the hose were taken up  Went into the building after the first saw benches &c thrown about, saw a map & book thrown into the street, saw some one carrying stove pipe into the Engine House, Heard white people about the first say that there would be no more
