Resides in Norfolk. Is a sail-maker, Has been in Q.M. Dept. Does nothing at present. Is not connected with Fire Dept. Was a looker on at the first. This was between 4 and 5 oclock. Did not see Chief Engineer at the first fire. Was at the fire for about an hour. Was another alarm in a short time after the Engine got home. Was at Steam Engine Co's House. Capt went to see where the fire was, as the men had been drinking. Went to the second alarm of fire. Seemed to be a good deal of fire. Never heard any one speak of the origin of the fire. Saw no Watchmen protecting the property or acting officially
