Norfolk Jan 31 1866
Col O Brown,

Dear Sir.

I am in a quandary in regard to our house.

The matter stands thus. When we came in here we made repairs on the House to the amt of 70 dollars; & this hardly made it comfortable then we have paid 20 dollars rent beside on it. Now as my husband is away so much, & as Mr Cook is so anxious to get it, I told Mr Cook that if he would pay me the 70 doll we had spent on it I would vacate
