I  have the honor very respectfully to report in compliance with Endorsement from your office of date Aug 4th /66 the result of my investigations in the case of U.S. vs. Dr Isiah Perry and George P. Perry (a son of the Dr.) of Culpeper Co Va & submit the following facts

1st The girl Jane Twyman whose statment is herewith enclosed, was shot by Isiah Perry of Culpeper Co Va on the 27th day of Jany -66.

2nd Dr Isiah Perry died in March 1866  

3rd  Dr Slaughter whose statment is also enclosed died 19th June /66 (in Culpeper Co Va)

4th  Perry J. Eggborn of same county one of the Bondsmen for Dr Isiah Perry & Geo. P. Perry died the 29th of June 1866 (the Bonds referred to are also enclosed as transferred to me by 2d Lieut Chase VRC & Asst Supt &c (without the required revenue stamps).

5th I find as per statment of 2nd Lieut W. S. Chase V R C &c of date Aug 10th 66 (in the form of an endorsement.) that the (col'd) girl Jane Twyman was sent to Gordonsville Va for medical treatment, on or about the 25th of June /66.
