In compliance with Circular No. 12 Hd. qrs. Asst. Com. Richmond Virginia. dated March 21st 1866. I have the honor to submit the following official report, from the board of overseers for the poor of Buckingham County Va. - at their annual 
meeting, held this 22nd day of June 1866.

"Resolved that this board recognizes the Statuatory law of the State, placing the White and Colored pauper population on the same footing, and that they are prepared and willing to provide for the comforts and wants of both classes alike."
