States as his reasons therefor. the murder of a freedman. the acquittal of the accused, the intimidation of the witnesses, and the magistrate, the unjust and unfair conduct of the civil authorities towards the Freedman in all cases, and the oppressive actions of employers towards their laborers, which the civil authorities will not rectify.
