and levied the same upon his horse, the attachment was returning to the  October term of the county court 1866 and upon proof of the justice of the claim -the fact that the Cofer was intending to remove his effects out of this state, the court in open court gave judgment for the debt with an order for the sale the horse.
So far as Mr. Cofer's unkind remarks concerning the actions of the officers of the Freedmens Bureau and Robert T Preston are concerned, I have not a word to say further than to remark that, if Mr. Cofer was as willing to pay an honest debt as he is to censure you and myself, he would have no necessity for troubling gentlemen with the malignant effusions of a miserable old scrivener. If you wish you can share this letter to Mr. Cofer.
