Assistant Quartermaster's Office,
January 12th 1866
Col.
I have the honor to request that transportation be furnished for Emeline Freeman (refugee from No. Ca.) from Norfolk Va. to Cheraw No. Ca. She is now dependent upon the Govt. for support and quarters, but if sent to her home can be supported at [[strikethrough]] her home [[/strikethrough]], among her relatives, who live at Rockingham. She is a young woman, and her case is one of real destitution, and demands the prompt action of the Gov't. This application is made to relieve the Govt of her support
I am Col,
Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant
A.S. Flagg
Capt AQM and Supt Ref &c
