OFFICE SUPERINTENDENT 1ST DIST. VA,
Norfolk, Va., Febry 7th 1866.

Rev'd Sir:

I have the pleasure to inform you that a large amount of clothing has been placed at my disposal for free distribution to the needy, among the Freedmen of my District. You would greatly aid me in supplying the destitute in my District, if, in your Pastoral visits, you could take the trouble to direct such, as you may find worthy of such charity, to call on Mr AJ Hand clerk for Mr Johnatin at the Dispensary building Fenchurch Street, who will furnish them with Men's Clothing. But for Blankets, or Women's and Children's clothing, please direct them to call on Miss Foster City Missionary No 5 Freemason Street Norfolk, giving them a note signed by yourself.

I am sir
Very Respectfully
