Accomack County to wit: An inquest taken at Pungoteague in the county of Accomack on the 13th day of April in the year 1866 before Walter Raleigh acting coroner of the said county upon the view of the body of John Holden, colored man there lying dead. The jurors sworn to inquire when, how, and by what means the said John Holden came to his death by hanging by the neck on the 12th or 13th day of April 1866 by some person or persons unknown to the jury. In testimony where of, the said coroner and jurors hereto set their hands.
