Office Sup't 1st Dist. Va.,
Norfolk, Va. June 2, 1866.

Brv't Brig. Gen'l O. Brown,

General:

I have the honor to return the claim of Alexander Paden for $100. retained bounty, previously sent Apr. 20, and re-sent May 10th, to Cap't F. Seeley, New Berne, N.C, whose reply I inclose.

Can the bounty, if any due "Alexander Payden, Co. B, 2 C.C.," be transferred in this case to him?

Permit me also to inquire if Sailors in the Navy, are entitled to like bounty with Soldiers.

Very rerspectfully,
A.S. Flagg
Cap't A.Q.M. and Sup't 1st Dist.
