formerly Treasury Agent in this County - said leases to continue only till January 1st 1866. In consideration of all which, your petitioner believing that under the proclamation of President Johnson he is entitled to the restoration of his said lands to him, respectfully asks that such restoration be made & for such other relief as justice & equity may require.

I, John W. Gillet, Clerk of the Court of the County of Accomack, in the State of Virginia, certify, that it appears from the records of said Court, now in my Office that the Petitioner, William M. Feddeman, is the fee-simple owner of the tract or parcel of land first mentioned and described in the foregoing Petition and containing two hundred and sixty acres, more or less; and that he is tenant for life of the second of said tracts or parcels of land therein mentioned containing [[strikethrough]] seventy five [[/strikethrough]] one hundred acres, more or less, - he being tenant by the curtesy thereof.

In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of the said Court, this 3d day of November, A.D., one thousand eight hundred and sixty five
