Richmond Va.

General.

I have the honor to request information as to whether an application for Leave of Absence made by me Novr 11th 66 for twenty days, with the privelege of extending it five days, has ever been received at Head Quarters Dept of the Potomac

I telegraphed to Maj R. S. Lacey Supt 7th Dist [[strikethrough]] to [[/strikethrough]] in regard to it to day and received an answer that he had heard nothing from it.

I would respectfully inform the Comdg Genl. that during four years of service, that I have never had but thirty days Leave, and that in the year 1864. Since that time I have been constantly on duty.

I am Genl
Very Respectfully, Your Obdt Servt
