Jan 17 1866 [[/stamp]] Chief Qr Mr's Office Dept of Va Richmond Va. Jany 17, 1866. Respectfully referred to Col. O. Brown Asst Comr &c. It appears from the note of Mrs Van Lew that Mr Wholey is undoubtedly loyal and I would respectfully suggest that possession of his lot be given him as also a sufficient quantity of the lumber in the Barracks to compensate him for the quantity taken by the military authorities.
