order for the boy Willis Hart but did not tell me she had the boy already in her possession.

She told me the boy was not apprenticed I have since found out that the boy was apprenticed in 1860 as before stated

The bond & Indentures were all destroyed the only evidence of the fact of the Indenture is the order of the Court recorded in a book for such purposes in the Clerks Office of the County.

The original Indenture does not of course now agree with the present law of Va. in respect to apprentices amended Jan 30th/66 Mr Vaughan has had the care of the boy 6 years & proposes to learn him the carpenters trade as he agreed in the first place & says he will - have new Indentures made in accordance with the present law in relation to apprentices The mother & boy were both Free born"? The child is well cared for The mother a worthless woman
