Norfolk Va. Septr 15th 1865

We the undersigned Citizens of Norfolk do hereby Certify that we know the property of John A Rosson which is now held by the Freedmans Bureau houses and lots Nos. 2. & 4. Virginia St was built by said John A Rosson on a lot purchased by his Brother Joseph S. Rosson from Anthony. W. McIntosh, the said Joseph S Rosson died in Septr 1855 House and Lot No 8 Virginia Street belonged to said Joseph S. Rosson. House and Lot No 10 Virginia Street was left by will to John A Rosson by his Grandmother Mrs Elizabeth Fentry, house and lot No 64 bate street belonged to his Sister Miss Susan D. Rosson who died in january 1864 the said Joseph S. Rosson and Susan D. Rosson died intestate which left the said John A Rosson sole heir to their estates
