Make statement in relation to the removal of U.S. Troops from that place.  Genls Steadman & Fullerton had an interview with Southerners at that place & gave their testimony without seeing the colored people. That the white people frown upon their efforts to improve & elevate themselves – That they are not safe on account of the assistance given to the Union
