and Sixty two cords wood, and (18,000) Eighteen thousand feet lumber then on  the Farm. This lumber was then included in the buildings upon the Farm. - On the 19th June, '66  Mr. H.C. Percy, as Supt. of Freedmen's schools, requested the transfer of the school house upon the Taylor Farm, to the Am. Mis. Association, for the use of the col'd schools. This was approved, and I was instructed to make the transfer and still bear the building upon my returns, by order of the Asst. Com'r, dated Richmond Va. 22d June 1866.- 

In a letter dated July 23d, 1866, I was directed by Asst. Com'r, to move the Hospital and school House, on Taylor Farm to Norfolk. In compliance with these instructions, the removal was at once commenced. - 

In the letter of July 23d I was directed to confer with Mr. Taylor, and make such arrangements as I could, relative to the crops and Freedmen upon his farm. In answer to a note addressed to Mr. Taylor, his son, Dr. R.B. Taylor, as agent of his father personally informed me, that his father
