Respectfully referred to Asst, Comr. of Va, with the information that this claim is much too high, being far above a just compensation, The Fishery could not be rented for over $500.00 pr annum. The value of the Fishery was unknown to the Bureau, and the residents in this vicinity at the time it was rented. The past, year has been an unusually profitable one for the fishery and yet $1000 would be a very high rent for the whole year. The item of wood for each person is also much too high. About $3.00 to each family, (about 130), would be all that could be justly claimed. The rent of the small farm
