The Bureau held my fishery for the fall of 1865, and is accountable to me for its sales  [[crossed out]] [[?]] [[/crossed out]] from 10th Sept to the close of the season (generally about 25th October), and also for this present year as it is rented for the season, & would not come into my hands for this year. I know that last spring $3,000 worth of Rockfish were caught in two days - all these profits I claim as rightfully mine, as they would have accrued to me had not my farm been withheld by the Bureau.

To say nothing, at present, of the very great quantity of timber & wood cut and carried off prior to 10 Sept 1865, there was a large amount cut & unremoved at that date. I claim that this is mine and that any sale or removal or consumption of it since that day is unjust - 

Where buildings are erected without the consent of the owner of land, their removal without his consent is clearly illegal, and such has been the case in this instance. I claim to have an account of all such buildings, (put up with my own timber) removed since the 10th Sept 1865.
 
I claim to have an account of all lumber or logs cut or removed and of all fuel cut or removed.

I claim compensation for the occupancy and use of the arable land, of course, and also rent for the small farm rented to Wm Williams - this farm was not used for the negroes, nor has the fishing been harvested for their food, yet both have been retained by the Bureau.
 
As to the question of receiving "the ground rent ie one third of the growing crops" it is, I imagine of
