Bureau R. F. and A. Lands.
Office Chief Qr. Mr. and Fin'l Agent
Richmond Va September 14. 1866.

Respectfully returned to the Assistant Commissioner, with the information that, the within described building was assigned for the use of the Bureau Dispensary by the Q.M. Dept. and has never been reported by me.- If it is intended that rent should be paid for the term occupied by the Bureau from Bureau funds, I would suggest that a board be appointed, as desired by Mr. Thomas, to fix the rent. As the building was occupied as a Dispensary by the So.Called Confederate Government and the damage (if any) to the property was mostly made while so occupied I do not think it advisable to make any account of the damage (if any) while occupied by the Bureau.
