three of which were sold in July, and three of which remain unsold. One of these is used for the schools, and the other two are not used for any government purpose.

I am not reliably informed how the property will be sold, but have heard that the land will be divided and disposed of in parcels. If so, the portions upon which the government buildings stand, may fall to different purchasers.

I presume it is now too late this season to remove the school buildings, and construct new houses with the materials. And if so, I would suggest that it be done in the Spring, and that in the meantime, if demanded, a reasonable rent be allowed for the use of the ground upon which the building stands.

I would recommend the sale of the other two buildings, on the day the property is to be sold, the 27th inst., as that sale will attract a large crowd of people. These buildings are small, and of but little value, and would probably sell better under such circumstances.
