Mr. W. M. Wilson (Personal)
1411-1413 Fisher Building
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Wilson:

Replying to yours of 16th inst., Mr. Greene telegraphed me on Friday last asking us to tell him our bid for 1,000 B. & O. box cars, and we have already done so. I judged from his telegram that he was not yet ready for a personal interview, so in sending our bid I suggested to him that I would be pleased to meet him at any time convenient to him.

We have heard rumors of the Illinois Central cars but do not expect to be invited to bid upon them. I judge from a letter received from Col. Hecker, who saw Mr. Hughitt recently that there was nothing new in C. & N. W. affairs. Barker scoured the order for the 1,000 Wisconsin Centrals.

With kindest regards.

Yours very truly,
Charles L. Freer
