June 4/97.

Dear Mr. Kingsley:

Since the receipt of your letter of 17th May I have been absent from home more or less and while here greatly engaged. To-day is really the first opportunity I have had to even drop you a line.
I am sending you herewith draft on New York, payable to your order, for $30.00, in payment for the two wood engravings, which kindly accept.
All that you wrote concerning the "Moonrise" and your hopes for the engraving interested me greatly, and I doubt not that it will prove to be your most important work up to the time of its finishing. The big "Tryout" is still at Buffalo but I have not yet seen it. I presume however it will soon arrive. -- I am leaving for Montreal to-night to be done several days.

With personal Regards,
Yours Very truly,
Charles L Freer
