Sept. 14th, 1897.

Mr. Elbridge Kingsley,
Hadley, Mass.

My dear Mr. Kingsley:-

I have not heard from you in a long time, but I take it for granted that no news means good news, and I fancy you are still wrestling with "The Rising Moon". To help you on with the fight, let me hand you the enclosed draft for $250.00. I have been passing an extremely busy summer and now that business is reviving, I judge I shall be on the wing pretty steadily during the fall.

Do you hear anything from Tryon? Little if anything I judge. Still, ere this he must have harvested the most of his crops and also to have thought some of other things. That farm of his will I fear overtax him physically some day. What do you think?

With best wishes, I remain,

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
