Mr. E.D. North,
Care, Charles Scribner's Sons,
New York City.

My dear Mr. North:-
Referring to the conversation had with you on Friday last concerning the book ordered sent to Mr. Depew. You will remember you were to see your delivery man and learn whether or not he had a receipt from Mr. Depew's house for the book and write me at the Waldorf Hotel. I left the Waldorf at six o'clock Saturday evening and up to that time no word had been received from you. If you have not already written me at the Waldorf, please address me here on the subject at your early convenience, and oblige.

Yours truly,
Charles L Freer
