My Dear General:-
Mr. Freeman, a fellow townsman of ours, and of the firm of Freeman, Delemater and Company, has brought me a letter addressed to you, which he states he feared unless sent by some personal friend of yours might fail to reach you. At his request I am enclosing same herewith.
Our party returned home yesterday from Hot Springs, after having enjoyed a most delightful two weeks there. We all regretted you could not be with us.
