T. W. Dewing, Esq.
Care The Players, 16 Gramercy Park, New York City.

Dear Dewing:-

I missed seeing you yesterday. Was extremely busy up to about four o’clock and then called at your studio, but you had left, so I wrote my name on a slip of paper and stuck it through the hole in your door. I wanted to see the screen before leaving and also to say to you that the draft would reach you at the Players Club this (Tuesday) evening. I expect to be in New York again soon. Did not get out of New York Saturday night as I expected and Sunday afternoon Reed met me accidentally at the hotel and helped to pry my eyes open with a few fine lines of drinks. I think he saved my life.

Yours ever,
F J Hecker
