Messrs. John Harvey and Sons, Limited,
Denmark Street, Bristol, England.

Gentlemen:-

After a month’s absence I am at home again, but as yet have had no opportunity to sample your last shipment to me, covered by your invoice of September 19th. I am to day sending you remittance covering the same, amounting to 91-9-2, which I trust you will find entirely satisfactory. Payment has been delayed by my absence, and if the discount is not as it should be, please correct, and have any difference against me charged to my account.

I wish you would enter my order for

One dozen Cases Scharzhofberg Auslese, Moselle. Vintage 1893 at 120/

It is not too late in the season to make the shipment, you may send them by the next steamer. If the weather is likely to be too cold on their arrival in this country, I would prefer to have you hold them until the weather is warmer next spring.

I am pleased to know that my friend Mr. [[Vandler?]] called upon you. He is one of the prominent men of Boston and a man who has occupied various important positions of trust and responsibility.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
