March 14th, 1899,

Mr. F. K. Stearns,
Detroit, Mich.

My dear Sir:-

This letter will introduce to you Mr. Henry Carew, who has done a great deal of Mason Work for both Colonel Hecker and myself. Mr. Carew is most capable and thorough in his line and all work he has done for either Colonel Hecker or myself has been most satisfactory. I write this letter to bespeak your good offices for Mr. Carew in the Mason Work of the new building Col.Hecker is to erect for your Company and I know that if Col.Hecker were in the city he would strongly urge that consideration be given to Mr.Carew by reason of his proficiency in his line of business.

Your truly,
Charles L Freer
