April 24th, 1899.

Henry W. Oliver,
Care Oliver and Snyder Co., Pittsburgh, Pa.

I am informed that you are required to have one Michigan Director on your Superior Ore Board of Directors. Permit me to strongly urge your consideration of Honorable Peter White of Marquette for the place. He is one of the most prominent and respected citizens of our state and one of the most genial and well balanced men I have ever served with. Met him accidentally to-day and he expressed a strong wish to be one of your new Board. I doubt if there is a man in all Michigan better known to the public, particularly one with his knowledge of the business and everything that pertains to the ore region of Michigan.

Charles L. Freer.
