Mr. W. K. Bixby,
President American Car & Foundry Co.,
St. Louis, Mo.

My dear Mr. Bixby:-

Replying to yours of the 22nd instant, concerning the Harrison Dust Guard Company, I am compelled to say that I know next to nothing about the value of their product. The letter which you sent me from this firm, and which I return herewith, seems a business-like document, but one hardly worthy of consideration upon the lines suggested. I am inclined to believe that the better plan would be for you to have an interview with these parties and arrange to make their guards for them. At any rate, such an interview would lead to a better understanding of what they possess.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
