Mr. W. J. McBride,
Auditor American Car & Foundry Co.,
St. Louis, Mo.

Dear Mr. McBride:-

In reply to yours of the 22nd instant, I would be very happy indeed to see you here on Sunday next, and discuss with you the matters which you wish to talk with me about; but I am afraid you have chosen a very bad day for me. A farewell dinner is to be given to Mr. Jarvis Saturday, which will probably end very late Sunday morning, and I am afraid my head will be far from clear for much work as you are proposing to go over with me. Can't you arrange to be here Saturday morning next instead? If you cannot conveniently, why make it Sunday and I will do the best possible. I shall leave Detroit on Wednesday of next week, at six o'clock. On Tuesday I shall be engaged with the wedding, so that you see my time will be pretty well occupied.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
