PERSONAL.

Hon. Peter White,
Marquette, Michigan.

My dear Mr. White:-

During my absence in Chicago yesterday a telegram came from Mr. Oliver, reading,

"Telegram received. I know the Honorable Peter White very well and will gladly place him on our new board. He need not bother about sufficient spares of stock as we will transfer sufficient to qualify him."

and as soon as it reached me this morning, I wired you

"Mr. Oliver wires me that he will gladly place you on his new board and that he will transfer sufficient shares of stock to qualify you."

which I now beg to confirm.

Let me congratulate you most heartily upon the realization of your wishes in this matter.

Trusting the association with Mr. Oliver and his friends will be mutually satisfactory, as I certainly believe it will, I remain,

Faithfully yours,
Charles L. Freer
