245 [[checkmark]] May 1st, 1899. Mr. R. E. Moore, 33 Union Square, Decker Building, New York City. My dear Mr. Moore:- I take pleasure in handing you enclosed herewith draft on New York payable to your order for one hundreddollars [[hundred dollars]]. The kakemone arrived in goodcondition [[good condition]] and I think it is quite an interesting specimen. I have to-day given a letter of introduction to you, to Mr. Deming Jarves, of Detroit, who will present it ere long. He has recently turned into a collector of white and blue, but I do not know whether he knows anything about the subject or not. He has travelled a great deal and is informed on many things, but how much he knows of art I cannot say. He is abundantly able to pay for anything he may purchase, and should you have any dealings with him I hope you will treat him the same as you do to me. Yours very truly, Charles L Freer
