Miss Martha T. Hamilton,
Care Amer. Car & Fdry Co., PERSONAL.
Empire Building, New York City.

My dear Miss Hamilton:-

The enclosed letter received from Mr. Sims of the Ulster and Deleware [[Delaware]] Railroad explains itself. I have directed Mr. Aikman to send to you a copy of the Summer Book as soon as it arrives. I think that it would at least be worth your time to go to Stamford first and if you do not find in that village the sort of place you desire, you will [[be]] at the most convenient center of investigation, as the country for miles around contains quiet and pretty spots where farmers and others offer accommodations, such as you are searching for.

I am looking for the pleasure of seeing you in New York on Friday next, but I am sending you the information mentioned so that it will be sure to reach you in the event of our failing to meet as contemplated.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
