To whom it may concern:-

The bearer, Francis Ribeyre has been employed at my house as chef for the last three and one half years. He is an excellent cook, a man of good habits, honest and willing. He purchased all the table supplies used while in my employ and is a capable marketer. I cheerfully recomment [[recommend]] him to anyone desiring the services of a man with his qualifications.
