Middletown, N.Y.

My dear Mr. West:-

My continued absence from home and a very great rush of business matters have combined to prevent me from giving earlier attention to sending you a small remembrance to take the place of the one sent you last Christmas, broken in transit. I have however sent you to-day by express a very old Chinese Bowl, which I beg you will accept with my compliments.

Yours very truly,
Charles L Freer
