My dear Sir:-

Referring the dividend of 1,3/4% just paid on the preferred capital stock of the American Car and Foundry Company. The party who purchased your two hundred and fifty shares did not deposit the stock for transfer until after the books were closed pending payment of the dividend and is writing to me concerning it. I presume the dividend went to you. Will you therefore kindly favor me with your check for $437.50, being 1,3/4% on 250 shares, that I may transmit it to the purchaser of the stock, and very much oblige.

Yours very truly,
H A B Aikman
