I have your favor of 26th instant dated Utica, N.Y., and am glad to hear from you.
Is it your intention to reach Detroit by Monday next? If so, I shall hope for the pleasure of seeing you before I go east, as I must leave on Monday evening the 2nd instant to be gone about one week. If it should so happen that you do not reach Detroit until after I leave, will you kindly consult with Col. Hecker.
